Product Instruction

T-Man Mikuni Race Back

Figure 1

  • Remove lock tap
  • Remove screw holding throttle cable support
  • Remove lower right screw on carburetor back



    Figure 2

  • Before installing race back, we suggest forming a small radius around lip of the carburetor, making the o-ring installation easier
  • You can use a file or small Die grinder (Cover all holes to keep out debris)
  • Figure 3

  • Install a light form of lubricant on the o-ring and on the lip of the carburetor
  • Press the race back on the carburetor
  • Install lower right screw (Do Not tighten all the way at this time)

  • Install throttle cable support and washer as shown by arrow (this will all be installed under the upper screw support)
  • Install upper screw in race back and now tighten upper and lower screws

  • The race back is designed to be used on a manifold with a "G" or "D" bolt pattern
  • Your manifold will need to be modified to match your new race back

    On Top Rocker Box on Short
    Side - Relieve Both Corner
    Webbings

     

    On Top rocker Box Long
    Side - Relieve Center
    Webbings (as shown)
    On Lower Rocker Box -
    Relieve Area Around Valve
    Spring and Note That Bolt
    Boss Has Been Relieved,
    as well, to Clearance Top Spring
    Collar
