Introducing the T-Man Custom Lined Cylinders. We consider these to be the finest M8 cylinders on the market.
Starting with your own M8 cylinders, they are installed on a custom bore plate to ensure the proper alignment of the cylinders’ dial pins. That locates them on your crankcases. This is to ensure the proper centerline for our oversized liner. Your stock cast iron liner is bored out and the top of the cylinder is machined and indexed to accept our custom liner. Our liners are made from 110,000 PSI ductile iron, the same material we have used successfully in our race program for years. One important feature of our liners is the length. We have made our liners .300” longer than others you will find being used on the market. This is to support the piston at the bottom of its stroke. This feature keeps the piston from rocking at BDC and creating a heavier side load on the piston skirt. This extended length will help maintain a better ring seal when the piston starts its upward motion. These cylinders are also cut to clearance the on-center Gen 2 throttle body.
This kit is supplied with a fully coated piston with tool steel wrist pins and features a set of top of the line, American made Total Seal rings. These pistons also have the option of a gas ported top ring to ensure a better ring seal at TDC when using a boosted motor, or higher compression, normally aspirated engine. Head and base gaskets are supplied. This kit will take a 114″/117″ to a 131″ and a 121″ to a 135″. For any questions regarding this product, feel free to give us a call.

T-MAN BILLET CYLINDERS
Introducing the M8 Billet Cylinder Kit! This cylinder kit is like no other on the market. It’s design is a rendition of the top fuel/pro stock cylinders we have used for decades. This cylinder bolts down to your cases with a 7/16 ARP stud and nut and the head is secured with a 1/2 – 14 ARP head bolt. This will eliminate any chance of stud stretch, resulting in loss of torque on your head gasket. For the higher compression/high boosted motors, we offer a copper head gasket and can install a fire ring with a receiver groove. These cylinders start from a solid block of 6061 billet aluminum. They are machined with a .800″ thick bottom flange and a 1.450″ thick top flange to ensure the least amount of deflection when torqued. After final machining, the cylinders are bored for our 110,000 PSI ductile iron liner. That is indexed on the top to prevent any rotation of the liner. It also has our signature longer bezel length to support the piston at the bottom of the stroke. When using these cylinders, the oil drains are run externally, for two reasons. One, to keep the oil draining from the top end away from the cylinder liner (this will keep the oil temp down), and two, it just looks cool! These cylinders are available in different cubic inch motor sizes: 131″, 139″, 143″ and 4.500″ bore 148″ (we do not recommend the 4.500″ bore to be used with stock cases). In order to use this cylinder kit, we will need to install the external drains in your heads and the head inserts. This process is included in the cylinder price, along with all the ARP hardware, the premade external oil lines and all fittings installed in heads and cylinders prior to shipping. These cylinders are also cut to clearance the on-center Gen 2 throttle body.
